Job Overview:

Financial management is crucial to the performance and success of any company. The roles and responsibilities of the Coursera Finance team include accounting, financial reporting, analysis, planning, budgeting, and compliance. Problem solvers at heart, this team works to fuel Coursera’s growth by developing creative solutions in response to accounting and finance challenges.

At Coursera, our finance team supports our internal partners to maximize shareholder value. We are looking for a talented and innovative business analyst to join our team. You are a result-focused professional with experience managing or administering data and driving revenue and profitability. You have experience working cross-functionally with executive management.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with internal consumer team stakeholders and FP&A team to define, track, analyze and report on key metrics
  • Own analysis and reporting of underlying drivers of monthly business performance
  • Build and manage scalable financial models, such as regional forecast models, LTV/CAC, content benchmarking and marketing to support planning and strategic decisions
  • Partner with data analytics team & FP&A on creation and maintenance/update of dashboards
  • Support improvements to forecast/planning processes and systems to streamline efficiency

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressive, relevant experience in FP&A
  • Demonstrated background to build strong relationships and establish credibility with diverse audiences and work collaboratively to deliver meaningful analyses and decision support
  • Direct experience with Gsheet/ Excel, NetSuite, Planning Systems like IBM TM1/Oracle Essbase, Looker
  • Ability to work with large volumes of data, drive insights through analysis, and communicating to business partners
  • Experience in Financial modeling, understand US GAAP revenue recognition standards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or other relevant quantitative field
  • Advanced Gsheet/Excel skills with the ability to create and operate complex financial models and automated reporting
  • Proven experience working with large volumes of data
  • Experience with process re-engineering and improvement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively and communicate with all levels of the company
  • Experience with international organizations/consumer business, user of IBM analytics, Looker, Workday, Salesforce.com (a plus)
