You’ll lead the architecture and execution of our integration strategy, including APIs, middleware, connectors, and data pipelines, while partnering closely with Product, Security, and Customer teams. Your leadership will directly impact how our enterprise clients onboard, operate, and scale with Degreed.

This role is based in Bengaluru, India and requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and a passion for building systems that simplify complexity at scale.

Key Skills

  • Proven experience leading large-scale integration initiatives for SaaS or enterprise platforms.
  • Strong technical background in APIs, microservices, middleware, and cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Expertise in data pipelines, event-driven systems, and system-to-system communication patterns.
  • Familiarity with HRIS, LMS, LXP, or enterprise learning/talent platforms (strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing engineering teams.
  • Comfortable working across security, compliance, and performance requirements in enterprise environments.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills — able to align with Product, Customer Success, Security, and Services.
  • Innovative mindset, with interest in applying AI/ML and automation to integration efficiency and scalability.
  • Clear communicator with the ability to represent engineering to external stakeholders and executive teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the integration strategy, aligning with Degreed’s product roadmap and enterprise client needs.
  • Build and scale engineering teams focused on integrations, fostering growth and technical excellence.
  • Own the architecture and delivery of integration services — including APIs, connectors, middleware, and data pipelines.
  • Ensure all integration solutions meet standards for security, performance, reliability, and compliance.
  • Partner across functions to deliver integrations that are robust, scalable, and customer-centric.
  • Apply AI/ML and automation to enhance monitoring, self-service, and operational efficiency.
  • Drive engineering best practices for development, testing, observability, and risk mitigation (aligned with Project SWIFT).
  • Act as a key voice in client and partner conversations, aligning technical strategy with business outcomes.
