About this role:

Renaissance Global are recruiting for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) for our UK Markets to join our growing UK Sales team.

As the Sales Development Representative (SDR) for the UK, you’ll generate new business opportunities across diverse education markets, tailoring your approach to suit regional differences. Based remotely in the UK, you will need to adapt quickly, manage a broad pipeline, and be culturally agile to engage school leaders across differing regions. You will also support your peers by sharing insights and setting high standards of performance.

You will communicate performance metrics, market insights and questions to your direct line manager on a weekly basis. They will identify, understand and research lists of schools and groups to target, and creatively personalise and develop campaigns to generate new business opportunities, while collaborating within a team.

Sales Development Representative Job Responsibilities:

When looking at the responsibilities can be broken down into the following areas:

  • Successfully segment your region into key focus areas to target schools.
  • Build and qualify a pipeline of top-of-the-funnel leads across the regions, with a focus on schools and MATs.
  • Use English to communicate effectively with senior school stakeholders understanding their needs, pain-points and goals.
  • Create tailored outreach campaigns that reflect local culture, school structures, and education trends. Use a consultative and flexible outreach approach to suit varying educational models and market maturity.
  • Collaborate with the regional sales team to support seamless handovers of qualified opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to maximise lead generation and ensure timely follow-up and qualification of inbound leads generated through campaigns, digital initiatives, and other marketing activities.
  • Coordinate lead flow and follow-up efforts linked to regional events, conferences, and international market visits, ensuring seamless alignment between marketing, international consultants/business development managers and the contracted international school groups.
  • Track and report on lead activity, market trends, and performance metrics using CRM tools ensuring data accuracy and visibility.
  • Maintain high productivity whilst balancing different market dynamics.
  • Contribute to a high-performance team culture

Skills and experience required:

To be considered for the role of Sales Development Representative (SDR) for UK, we are looking for an experienced sales development professional who has a proven track record of operating in highly cross-functional initiatives, hitting Objective and Key Results (OKRs), and succeeding in a complex and fast-moving environment

You will also have or be:

  • Experience in lead generation or sales development, ideally within EdTech or SaaS.
  • Demonstrated history of proven results in a prior SDR role
  • Driven to learn and succeed in Edtech sales
  • Excited to execute innovative, targeted campaigns to new international regions
  • Excellent Communication skills including phone, written and verbal skills
  • Fluent in English is essential; other languages is a strong advantage (written and verbal).
  • An understanding of the school landscape in England, Scotland, Wales & Ireland.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Self-starter with a high level of cultural intelligence and sensitivity, who looks for creative solutions to build connections and generate active leads.

As our Sales Development Representative (SDR) for the UK Markets, we are looking for someone who aligns with Renaissance's mission to accelerate learning for all children and adults of all ability levels and ethnic and social backgrounds, worldwide, we are looking for someone who is/ has:

  • Excellent organisational, planning, time management and project management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, present and negotiate to a high level.
  • Focused and disciplined approach, logical and has meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to instil a high level of credibility and build strong internal working relationships
  • Collaborative approach.
  • Flexible approach; ability to adapt to different situations and requirements
  • A positive outlook with desire to learn and embrace new concepts and ways of working
  • Preferred education to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant field
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to quickly assimilate extensive product and market knowledge

Additional information:

This is role is a Remote United Kingdom based role, all candidates must reside and hold the right to work in the United Kingdom. (Please note we do not offer sponsorship for this position)

We offer a competitive salary of between £ 25,000 – £30,000 dependant on experience, with the ability to earn up to £15,000 per annum in commission, Plus lots of amazing benefits.
