Job Description:

The Sr. Director, Curriculum is a skilled senior leader who cares deeply about technology education and possesses a proven ability to direct content creation across a broad range of technical domains. This role is responsible for co-creating, in coordination with the VP of Content, Pluralsight’s topical content strategy, determining which technologies/topics are covered, to what extent, on what time horizon. Core to this role is an innovative outlook on how technical content creation is evolving and what steps need to be taken to modernize on-demand learning. In this role, the Sr. Director will be evangelizing Pluralisight’s content story and leading to the future of Pluralsight’s content offering.​​

What you’ll do:

Curriculum Design and Development

  • Co-creation and execution of the content roadmap that informs the work of our curriculum teams, and in turn, the entirety of our author network

  • Design and implementation of new, innovative content styles intended to create repeated, progressive learner engagement

  • Accountability for the content creation and maintenance budget, inclusive of course completion fees

Leadership

  • Direction of a team of content professionals which includes direct management of a team of Curriculum Directors, and in-direct management of their teams of Curriculum Managers and Project Coordinators. This will necessitate:

  • Leading with inspiration and the ability to communicate a vision that motivates others to create

  • Owning the outcomes of your team and the work they produce, both from a roadmap and quality perspective

  • Attracting, hiring, and retaining A-level talent

Collaboration & Communication

  • Co-creation of a singular content workflow, inclusive of processes, tooling, and reporting

  • Curriculum representation in meetings and presentations with customers and potential customers in a manner that boosts their confidence and their desire to buy Pluralsight

  • Collaboration with Marketing, Public Relations, Revenue, and Professional Services to co-create measurably successful go-to-market narratives and campaigns

  • Cross-functional efforts with Product, Engineering, and Data Science

  • Team representation at Skills and Content All Hands as well as author events such as Author Summit and customer events such as Navigate

  • Close collaboration with all members of the Content leadership team

Experience you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience as a leader of leaders

  • Technical subject matter expertise in at least one domain of technology and conversational literacy across all

  • Experience successfully setting and executing data-driven content strategies

  • Experience building and directing geographically distributed teams comprised of differing roles and skill sets

Requirements:

  • 7+ years track record in technical education, specifically on-demand eLearning/SaaS

Travel Requirements:

While Pluralsight operates under a remote and hybrid work model, we believe that in-person connection and collaboration are important. Recurring travel to our HQ in Utah may be required depending on the role and team member location.

Work is performed in an office (or home office) environment and requires the ability to operate office equipment and keyboards. Sedentary work. Repetitive work. Ability to perform tasks related to documentation, data analysis, transcription and extensive content analysis. Learn new tasks, remember processes, complete tasks independently, and make timely decisions in the context of a workflow.

The annual US base salary range for this role is $166,600 - $205,700 USD. Pluralsight's pay ranges vary based on work location. Talent Acquisition can share more detail during the hiring process when applicable. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. In addition to the base salary, this role may also be eligible for benefits and bonuses.
