Senior Manager of Engineering

Job Description:

The Senior Manager of Software Engineering is responsible for establishing and leading a multi-function engineering and DevOps team. They partner with executive and senior leadership to ensure the success of our regional and/or domain-specific engineering functions.

What you’ll do:

  • Regional and/or domain leadership

  • Drive product excellence ensuring that our technology delights our users, improves quality, and reduces the cost of support and maintenance of our product development

  • Ensure our products meet or exceed the contracted SLA uptime

  • Create direct and deep relationship with product managers, sales, and account managers

  • Inform the product strategy by bringing technical perspective to the conversation

Experience you’ll bring:

  • Experience managing CI CD automation

  • Collaborating with cross-teams involved.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a results-driven environment

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of total experience

  • An engineering graduate with computer science or information technology background.

  • Experience as a software engineer and technical leader with large-scale projects delivered have prepared you for this role

  • Strong experience in people management and leading technical team that support and partner with international technology and product peers

  • Some experience in eCommerce is required.

  • Strong architecturing experience.

  • Experience operating both cloud services, with technical depth to be active in decisions about the large architectural investments

  • Experience working in nodeJS & reactJS.

  • Proven ability to focus engineering work on the top corporate objectives and priorities, and accountability for keeping strategic work on track

  • Experience with API management, product instrumentation, analytics, continuous development and integration, and security and audit concerns

Travel Requirements:

While Pluralsight operates under a remote and hybrid work model, we believe that in-person connection and collaboration are important. Recurring travel to our HQ in Utah may be required depending on the role and team member location.
