About Us
QuillBot was founded in 2017 with a mission to help students and professionals—especially those learning English—strengthen their writing. Today, we help over 56 million people around the world create great things. Whether you're writing, designing, coding, or collaborating, QuillBot is a place where anyone can create at the speed of thought. Our AI-powered tools help you think clearly, communicate effectively, and create beautifully—across every platform, in any format, at any skill level. If you're passionate about using technology to make the path from inspiration to execution more accessible, intentional, and relevant, come join us.

Role Overview
New Tools are one of QuillBot’s primary engines for user growth, SEO acquisition, and capability expansion. These tools often serve as the first touchpoint for new users discovering QuillBot—especially through high-intent, task-based entry points (e.g., generators, converters, analyzers).

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the strategy, lifecycle, and execution of New Tools—from ideation and validation to launch, iteration, and eventual integration into QuillBot’s broader creation platform.

This role sits at the intersection of growth, platform thinking, and product craftsmanship. Success requires both sharp prioritization and strong operational discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of New Tools, including ideation, validation, launch, iteration, promotion, and sunsetting.
  • Define a clear New Tools strategy aligned with QuillBot’s creation platform vision—deciding which tools to build, why, and when.
  • Identify and prioritize high-impact, task-driven opportunities across multi-modal workflows.
  • Partner closely with Growth, SEO, and Marketing teams to ensure new tools drive meaningful user acquisition and activation.
  • Establish and enforce standards for tool quality, UX consistency, instrumentation, and monetization readiness.
  • Lead experiments to determine when a tool should:
  • Be promoted into a core product surface, or
  • Remain a standalone utility, or
  • Be sunset due to low impact or redundancy.
  • Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Data, and AI Research teams to ship tools efficiently and sustainably.
  • Track and optimize success metrics such as adoption, retention, conversion, and long-term value contribution.

Qualification

  • 6+ years of product management experience, with ownership of consumer-facing or prosumer tools.
  • Strong experience building task-oriented products that solve clear, narrow user problems.
  • Comfort operating in high-velocity environments—shipping, learning, and iterating quickly.
  • A data-driven mindset with experience in SEO funnels, growth experiments, and lifecycle metrics.
  • Ability to balance speed with quality, avoiding one-off tools that don’t scale.
  • Strong systems thinking—you can design frameworks, standards, and processes that enable teams to move faster over time.
  • Clear communication skills and comfort working across product, engineering, growth, and leadership.
  • An instinct for identifying when to double down—and when to stop.

What You Can Expect to Do in Your 180 Days

First 30 Days: Learn & Diagnose

  • Deep-dive into the existing New Tools portfolio and performance metrics.
  • Understand how new tools currently contribute to acquisition, engagement, and revenue.
  • Audit existing tooling standards, UX patterns, and instrumentation gaps.
  • Build strong relationships with Engineering, Design, Growth, and Data partners.
  • Align on success metrics and guardrails for new tool launches.

30-90 Days: Define & Systematize

  • Establish a clear prioritization framework for deciding which new tools to build.
  • Define a standardized playbook for New Tools (from discovery → launch → evaluation).
  • Identify 3–5 high-potential tool opportunities and validate them through research or experimentation.
  • Partner with Growth to improve activation and conversion flows for new tools.
  • Define promotion/sunset criteria for the existing tool set.

90-80 Days: Execute & Scale

  • Launch multiple new tools using the standardized framework.
  • Improve performance of existing tools through iteration or consolidation.
  • Drive measurable improvements in acquisition, activation, or monetization tied to New Tools.
  • Make clear decisions on which tools should graduate into core workflows or platforms.
  • Establish New Tools as a reliable, repeatable growth and learning engine for QuillBot.
